The WorkBee is our latest CNC machine and represents the culmination of all our experience, feedback, and suggestions gathered over two years of selling the OX CNC machine. This latest model is capable of accurately cutting through various materials such as foams, woods, plastics or aluminum to a depth of 25mm with an accuracy of 0.2mm or greater. One major request we received for the OX was for a lead screw driven version, which is exactly what we've incorporated into the WorkBee CNC machine from the ground up. However, one significant challenge when switching to a screw-driven system is that it would be limited in size to 1000x1000mm. Since this limitation wasn't acceptable, we designed the WorkBee with the flexibility to accommodate both screw and belt driven systems. If the WorkBee CNC kit is belt driven, it can be expanded beyond the 1000x1000mm size constraint. The WorkBee's design allows for seamless conversion between the two drive systems as they share the same overall layout. The WorkBee makes full use of the V-Slot Extrusion system and features C-Beam extrusions on the X and Y axis. These C-Beam profiles are stronger, enabling the drive systems to be concealed from debris. For belt-driven setups, a new belt and pinion setup has been developed that fits snugly inside the 'C' channel of the Y-Axis extrusions.
