Work Light
thingiverse
I built a housing for the 12v Cob light I had on hand, resulting in a very bright work-light. This enclosure didn't require any additional support. I also plan to create a light stand for my desk. As you can see, this light is quite impressive. Files: Cob1 - main body; Cob2 - Top cap; Cob3&4 - bottom cap holds power cable firmly. The Cob light itself costs around $3 and produces tons of light. I use the same light to illuminate my 3d printer. I replaced the E3d nozzle on my Seemecnc Rostock max with a .5 model, which was a .4 previously. The outcome is that printing is significantly faster now. This model was also printed in Fast mode or .35 layer height. Despite the low resolution, the print turned out flawless. I would recommend adjusting the larger nozzle's tuning parameter by increasing the outline overlap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Super-Bright-White-Car-COB-LED-Lights-DRL-Fog-Driving-Lamp-Waterproof-DC-12V-/291161780706?hash=item43ca9831e2
