Word Stones
thingiverse
I've often marveled at stones adorned with motivational phrases etched into their surfaces. Surprisingly, recreating a similar aesthetic without the weight is manageable thanks to advancements in 3D printing technology. The outlines produced by the printer lend a beautiful effect to the stone's surface. I utilized a design tool called Fusion 360, renowned for crafting organic shapes and 3D text. I've included three examples - one featuring an English phrase and two with Hebrew inscriptions. Shalom signifies peace, and it happens to be my name in the Hebrew language. Misheberach is the title of a healing prayer. This particular stone can easily fit within the palm of your hand and might offer comfort to someone undergoing medical treatment. Print Settings: Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.20 Infill: 20% Notes: I created this design in Fusion 360, processed it using Simplify3D, and printed it on a MakerBot Replicator2 with Elmer's Craft Bond glue stick applied to a glass build plate made from PushPlastic filament. I employed the following custom settings: Number of shells: 4 Feed rate: 40 Travel feed: 55 Temperature: 220°C
