Word Clock
thingiverse
I've long been eager to construct a larger word clock, one that doesn't require printing in a single piece. To keep things straightforward, I also omitted some letters common to many word clocks. A partial strip of WS2812B's (Neopixels, 60 pixels per meter) powered by a Wemos D1 as an NTP client got the job done. Yet, once the display face is built, any number of microcontrollers can be used to run the display. Options include an Arduino, ESP8266, with RTC, NTP, GPS - you name it. Dec 15, 2017 - An Arduino sketch for Wemos was added. It requires a photoresistor to handle auto dimming or that section of code can be commented out. Modify the sketch to suit your own time zone rule and NTP time server.
