Woolnorth Wind Farm generates massive amounts of clean electricity using 62 impressive turbines located at Woolnorth (Cape Grim) in Tasmania, Australia. As a subsidiary project by Roaring 40s, it has achieved great success in the renewable energy sector. Its initial stage consisting of six massive turbines producing a combined power output of 1.75 MW each was completed in August 2002. The following phase, expanding to thirty-one more turbines, increased overall generating capacity to 54 MW, finishing just months after commencement in April 2004. Roaring 40s launched their most ambitious endeavor yet when stage three at Woolnorth Studland Bay broke ground in January 2006 with twenty-five state-of-the-art Vestas V90 3MW turbines, effectively making it the largest operational wind farm down under by completion in May 2007.
