UPDATE 26-FEB-2017: I upgraded the two base parts to accurate versions with holes for foot pins. Review "WMammoth_Base1_v4.stl" and "WMammoth_Base2_v4.stl". UPDATE 15-JAN-2017: I updated the four "feet" models to correct v4 version. Prior ones were missing connector pins to snap into base parts. I also upgraded the pelvis-spine-skull pin model to be smaller file size, but you will need to print three of them, hence the "x3" in the file name. The original source for this model is a 3D scan of a woolly mammoth skeleton from Smithsonian Institution National Museum of Natural History website at: http://www.3d.si.edu The scale of the .STL files is 1:10. I broke down the original model into printable pieces and added snap-together features to make it easier to assemble. I also created a two-piece part to ensure the assembled model stands properly and improves strength. The model in the pictures did not have snap features, so gluing it together was challenging. I have not tested all of the snap fits, so please inform me of any issues if you build it. The model in the photos was printed at 75% scale to fit the 205mm square bed of my printer. This makes the final scale of the model in the pictures 1:13. The height of the assembled model is approximately 350mm (13.8"), or at the 75% scale to fit most printers, the height is approximately 260mm (10.3").
