It's a timeless challenge created in the 1970s, known by various names such as Mastermind or Superbrain. I recently played it with my nine-year-old daughter and we had an absolute blast, so I decided to recreate the game board from solid wood. I utilized exquisite 20 mm wood from the checker tree, and cut out the parts on my desktop CNC machine courtesy of Stepcraft. To achieve a smooth carving, I employed a downcut end mill. This results in excellent edge quality. The holes and remaining components were crafted using a long 3 mm end mill specifically designed for woodworking. The cover is securely fastened by three 3 mm neodymium magnets. Making my own game pieces wasn't necessary as I utilized the ones provided with my original game. Please note that the STL files have not been verified to be compatible with FDM printers. For more intriguing designs, visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/.
