We've got wooden vents throughout our home that can't be shut off because they don't have louvers. We recently had an air conditioner installed and wanted to direct most of the cold air upstairs by closing off some of the main floor vents. I came up with a vent cover design that attaches directly to the bottom of each vent, preserving the clean lines of our stylish wooden vents while redirecting more of the air to the upper levels.
