Modification of Wooden Trike for the Youngest Child: A Fun DIY Project! To create this awesome wooden trike, I made a simple modification using an old, affordable battery drill motor equipped with a planetary gear. This design is quite common in cheap battery drills, so you might be able to find one that suits your needs. For easy customization, I've included the stp files for the entire project. Each component of this trike requires printing in a single piece. Here's what you'll need: - 6x M4x30 screws - 6x M4 nuts - 3x M3x16 screws - 2x M3x20 screws - 1x M3x8 screw - 6x M3 nuts - 1x M10x20 screw - 2 wood screws to hold the motor supports in place - 2 small wood screws to secure the micro switch - some wires for connectivity - a micro switch that can handle at least 3A of current - a battery pack (I used an 11V pack, even though my motor requires 18V to reduce power consumption) To assemble the big gear, I used glue in addition to screws.
