Wooden Trammel Mechanism

This mechanism is also known as an "ellipse generator." Various versions of it exist on GrabCAD. I aimed to create a wooden version using basic machining procedures, such as cuts and holes. Additionally, I conducted research on possible ellipses based on the main arm's length. The model was designed with Solidworks 2016 and rendered with Simlab Composer 7 Mechanical Edition. The frames were edited in Virtualdub and saved as AVI/X264 and BMP formats. MyMP4BoxGui was used to remux the video into MP4 format, while PhotoScape created the GIFs. IrfanView was employed for editing renders. The 3D-PDF and SIMLAB files are animated, and the model is accessible in various formats, including Solidworks 2016, Simlab Composer 7, DAE, STEP, IGES, Parasolid, OBJ, 3D-PDF, SketchUp, 3DS, FBX, and DWF.
