Wooden Train Car for LEGO and BRIO and Similar
thingiverse
My kids have absolutely loved their wooden train setup. We've got bits from IKEA, BRIO, 3D-printed stuff, and other generic parts scattered all over the place. They're also huge fans of LEGOs, and I thought it would be cool to combine everything and let them get really creative. The magnets push into the finished car with a surprising amount of force. Once installed, they fit loosely, allowing their poles to rotate for reliable coupling every time. Before pressing in the bearings, put a drop of super glue on the inside of the wheel. To build these cars, you'll need the following per vehicle: 2x 5mm magnets 4x F682ZZ flange ball bearings 4x M2 x 12mm screws No supports are required at all. This project does contain small parts, so parental supervision is always a must.
