Wooden Train Bridge Supports - Alphabet (6mm letters, 2 or 4mm joiner plate)

thingiverse

This set comprises letter supports and a track joiner, resulting in a 64mm height under the track when combined with the letters and joiner. It works well with my purchased bridges, but ensure your bridge ramp height or support is compatible. Adjustable letter heights cater to different support requirements. Letter height is 60mm, while the joiner base plate options are 2mm or 4mm. I based these measurements on a 64mm Thomas bridge, but others may vary by a couple of millimeters without issues. Print joiners for each letter and connect with epoxy or preferred glue, ensuring proper letter direction alignment. Select from 2mm or 4mm joiner plate options to accommodate slight discrepancies in current bridges. To adjust for different bridge heights, scale only the letters (X and Y axis) while keeping the Z-axis at 1. This assumes the provided STL files have letters facing up when printed. To determine the scaling percentage, subtract 4 from your bridge height (in mm), then multiply by 1.6. Divide this result by 100 if using a slicer like Slic3r; for example, a scale of 93% translates to 0.93 in slic3r settings.
