In the year nineteen forty-eight, on December fifth, fifty-six, a remarkable discovery was made in Rio Cayapas, a small town located in the province of Esmeraldas, Ecuador. Archaeologists unearthed an intricately crafted sculpture and figurine, which dated back to an ancient civilization that once flourished in the region known as Caypas.
