The sailboat design is inspired by Sunfish and Laser models. As a father-daughter project, we will construct a full-sized version based on my blueprint. Using 1/32" plywood from hobby stores, I employed Elmer's glue for wood assembly. With a laser cutter, I created all the components and began by attaching the centerboard trunk. To accommodate the mast, I left the bow end open for easy insertion between the sides. Small rectangles were used to space the trunk sides, ensuring adequate room for the centerboard. Bulkheads were glued to the underside of the top, with notched back two for lengthwise stringers from cockpit front to transom. Trimming was necessary for a snug fit on sides and bottom pieces. A hardwood mast replaced broken balsa ones, and a small dollhouse hinge with nails secured the tiller in place.
