Wooden Rialto Bridge about 1500
sketchfab
A stunning Minecraft recreation of the Rialto bridge in its original wooden form, crafted from 1588 to 1591 when it was replaced by the stone masterpiece we admire today. My talented sister Irina Busch brought this vision to life, drawing inspiration from Vittore Carpaccio's "Miracle of the Holy Cross at Rialto" painted in 1496 and Jacopo de Barbari's detailed "Map of Venice" print from 1500. With precision, she scaled down the design to six Minecraft blocks per metre, ensuring accuracy and authenticity. I acted as technical advisor for this project, and proper credit must be given to my sister Irina Busch for her exceptional work.
