Wooden Heed
thingiverse
Way back in 2007, I crafted a small wooden novelty called Heed the Box. It turned out to be a very popular little item, capable of housing its entire torso and all four limbs within its head, but after a comment on my much more recent ring box design, I decided to give Heed a fresh new makeover in a more rugged form. Why "Heed"? In Scotland, the term 'heed' was often used to mockingly refer to someone whose head is empty, much like an air-filled ball. Since this charming fellow's body can be tucked neatly inside its cranium, the name seemed remarkably apt to me. For anyone interested in bringing Heed to life, construction instructions are readily available online: http://www.instructables.com/id/WoodenHeed/
