The 3-D scanning of a wooden statue depicting George Washington began on July 4, 2019 using the Go!Scan 50 to document its gradual deterioration. Initially scanned on March 30, 2019, this sculpture stood for years at George Washington's historic home in Ferry Farm before being crafted by local artist Kim Matthews. He skillfully sculpted a figure holding an axe in his left hand, which is currently missing, while the right hand was deliberately removed. The statue showcases severe damage caused by termite infestation and widespread decay.
