This exquisite wooden cigar box once contained mammoth hair and flesh meticulously gathered during the pioneering Quackenbush expedition to Alaska in the early 1900s. On March 8, 2019, it was meticulously scanned three-dimensionally with a NextEngine Desktop 3-D scanner at the esteemed New York State Museum. The museum specimen V21 is a treasured gift courtesy of the renowned New York State Museum.
