A beautifully crafted playing cards deck & box can be created in just a few minutes with Trotec's Speedy 400 flexx. How I Designed This Step 1: Engrave the Cards We've provided the templates for the cards (make sure to set the art-bound of your cards to the same dimensions as your material). For the remainder cards file, make the art-board small enough for all the cards. Place them in the corner of the board using Trotec's JobControl Software). The cards should be engraved at 45 power, 100 speed with 1000 PPI/Hz. To cut the cards use 40 power, 2 speed with 2000 PPI/Hz. We used Black Pegasus Cover stock 260m 20x26 as our material Step 1: Engrave the Cards Step 1: Engrave the Cards Step 2: Cut the Cards To cut the cards, you must find the desired cut speed and power depending on your desired shade of color. Ex. if you decrease the speed or increase power, the design will become darker. Make sure to tape the material to the bed to prevent misshaped. Step 2: Cut the Cards Step 2: Cut the Cards Step 3: Design of the Box The attached Illustrator file is the design of the box. We made our cut lines as red with a weight of 0.10 and black for the engraving portion. All colors must be RGB. The box material is 1/4" thick solid maple wood, dimensions are 3.5" x 2.5" x 1.5" Step 3: Design of the Box Step 3: Design of the Box Step 4: Engrave & Cut Playing Cards Box Our settings for the design is 55% power and 85% speed on the Trotec 100w Speedy 400 flexx laser with 500 ppi.
