Wooden Blinds bottom plug
thingiverse
If you have wood blinds in your house, chances are good that you've got broken plugs from underneath the bottom base slat. The standard-issue plugs are poorly designed and constructed from cheap plastic that tends to crack and break, causing them to fall out of the base entirely. These plugs serve as a crucial component, holding the strings that secure the slats to the thick base slat in place. They maintain the strings' correct position and keep them centered within the base. My design prioritizes providing ample space for the string and the tiny crimp, offering friction to hold securely in the 1/2" hole, and flexing when inserted into the hole. Assuming you print with PLA, ABS, or even TPU, these plugs should provide an ideal replacement for the subpar plugs that came with the blinds. After all, who wants to swap out a failed part for another one of the same design?
