This is a fully printable wooden PLA coffee/espresso tamper. The original design was created for a 52mm portafilter, specifically for the Breville Barista Express. However, this design is highly adaptable because it consists of two parts that screw together - the base and the handle - so I can accept requests for specific portafilter sizes. This design is relatively simple to print but what sets it apart is the use of HatchBox Wood PLA filament and the extensive post-print work done on it. I must say that this wood PLA filament is truly amazing, opening up a wide range of new possibilities in terms of printing and finishing. HatchBox Wood PLA is highly sandable, stainable, and takes a polyurethane sealing coat extremely well.
