Wood Load for Center Beam Flat Car (G-Scale)
thingiverse
I wanted something to put on my USA Trains Center Beam Flatcars. I made two different types of loads. One is a plywood pallet load and the other is a timber pallet load. Both are similar in size (the photos I uploaded were prototypes, the final product is equal in size). I suggest printing these with supports. Once you remove the supports, the underside is a bit gnarly-looking, but nobody will see this when they're on the train car. Once printed, I applied primer spray paint, then sprayed each load with an appropriately-colored paint. Once dry, I applied a black wash (mix black paint with water (1:5 ratio) and apply to load). Once dry, I then painted the pallet planks and used a silver sharpie to paint the straps. I want to help out other hobbyists, so I don't charge for my designs. However, if you like my designs and found this helpful, a tip is always appreciated. Tips can be sent to: http://paypal.me/sukotto88
