Researching and Visualizing Architecture's Global Nodes and Vectors: A Landscape of Woodland Cemetery Introduction: In the 18th century, European graveyards were typically small fields surrounding churches. The modernization of urban spaces for cemeteries and cremation technology demanded a new architectural typology or urban landscape design. Woodland Cemetery in the 19th century serves as an exemplary case study for how architects addressed death architecture during the global modernization movement. This paper will explore how architects developed new typologies using a visualizing strategy - photogrammetry - to create accurate, three-dimensional models through photo scanning. Our goal is to gain a deeper understanding of integrated building and landscape design in this project, particularly since these landscapes serve as spiritual spaces for remembrance rather than entertainment venues.
