wood holder for cnc machine
thingiverse
I'm planning to engrave or router some timber I picked up from B&Q. The wooden blocks I'm using are 38mmx63mm, although I can adjust the size if needed. I've been inspired by a video and decided to create a device that holds each piece in place while routing all four sides. It should keep the wood centered in both height and width, allowing me to finish one side at a time. This will save me from having to reposition the material. The design includes an open-ended part for flexibility and a stopped piece to keep it steady in length. There are also screws built-in for holding it together securely. Additionally, two triangles will mark the centerline on my CNC bed. All of this is linked to my home limits so I can easily assemble and route the wood with minimal fuss. Hopefully, everything works as planned and I'll share videos of the finished product later on.
