Wood Dungeon Door - Hinged, Open/Closed, & Slide In
cults3d
This is a wooden door designed specifically for dungeons. You can choose from several versions, including one with working hinges that are integrated into the print-in-place design or an opened and closed version if you prefer not to work with print-in-place hinges. Additionally, the two-split versions can be printed flat and glued together. I have experimented with the print-in-place hinges and found varying degrees of success, which appears to be dependent on the type of filament used (for example, I use the same settings for all my PLA). However, I tried it with a few different brands/types of PLA and adjusted the gap to ensure proper printing. To loosen the hinges, take your time and gently wiggle them back and forth 5-10 times. Your results may vary. This design was inspired by Dungeon Door - Open and Closed created by bbzed and Dungeon Game Working Door designed by dazzlesp. Update: I have added some new options to this design, including a print-in-place hinge version with a separate arch that can be assembled after printing (you could split the arch into two pieces and glue them together or use supports). Another option is a slide-in door version that conserves filament (this way you don't have to print an extra frame for a closed door).
