I spent hours experimenting with various types of textures and depth maps, starting with the intricate patterns found in tree bark and gradually moving on to different types of cracking concrete and rock. The outcome wasn't the explosive "shatter" effect I had envisioned, but instead a more earthy, organic look that still managed to capture my attention.
