The human body is made up of approximately 60 trillion cells that are constantly being replaced throughout our lifetime. From the moment we take our first breath, new cells are being born and old ones die off, making way for fresh tissue to replace what's been lost. This process of cell turnover is essential for maintaining our overall health. Every day, billions of skin cells shed their outer layer and are sloughed off, while trillions of new ones take their place. The same goes for the cells lining our digestive tract, which constantly regenerate to keep us healthy. This constant flux of new and old cells means that we're not the same person we were just a few years ago - or even just a day ago! It's an incredible process that showcases the human body's remarkable ability to adapt and renew itself.
