Wont Watch
grabcad
This 3D-printed device serves as a small, wrist-mounted container for travel/adventure situations or everyday use. It can be worn like a watch or attached to a key chain or used to hold small items securely in a bag. The heavy-duty and durable design makes it visually interesting and functional as a piece of art, jewelry, or designed object. Print the object in three separate pieces that screw together for assembly. A short length of 19-gauge wire (about the diameter of a paper clip) can be inserted through the band mounts, while a store-bought 12mm watch band can also be used. The designer studied Digital Object Design 1 at Towson University, their first semester after completing graphic design studies at Harford Community College. They created this object as part of their final project and plan to transition into a 3D workspace, having experience with digital art software. The Wont Watch has an exaggerated aesthetic that enhances its function and is part of the unofficial collective, Wont, which creates limited-edition handmade clothing and accessories for action sports enthusiasts and culture. Learn more about Wont on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/wontltd. The designer is an undergraduate senior studying Art + Design with a concentration in Interdisciplinary Object Design, advised by Joshua Demonte. Experiment with different filaments to create contrasting looks; the model pictured is made of PLA and renders feature alternate face pieces.
