Wonderland Ranch Joshua Tree
myminifactory
This is a photogrammetry scan I captured of the abandoned Wonderland Ranch ruins in Joshua Tree National Park. I snapped 124 pictures with my Nikon DSLR and processed them through Agisoft. What caught my eye was the fact that people were visible in many of these photographs, yet none of them show up in the final 3D model. The software seems particularly effective at dismissing elements that only appear in a few images. We discussed creating 3D models like this one on our 3D Printing Today podcast, which is available for download on iTunes, Stitcher radio or directly from http://threedprintingtoday.libsyn.com/.
