Wonderland
thingiverse
This here is my first bigger project, which means it involves over a hundred grams of plastics. It was primarily designed for the Halloween contest and, of course, the party I will attend. The costume is called "Wonderland"! It's meant to unlock your personal creative sense or make you the centerpiece at a Halloween party. Most parts seen are 3D-printed. Cards, chains, the hat, and more were created using this method. To create a full costume you can wear outside, you'll only need some shoes, a skirt, and maybe a shirt, depending on how cold it is. I recommend viewing this costume as an art collection of dreamy, playful, and colorful objects to use for your Halloween costume. For example, you can just use the hat or belt. Your decision! I also suggest not just coloring the objects but decorating them with small jewelry or other little parts. Again, you decide. In the documentation, you'll see details about every object as well as how I painted and decorated them. I strongly recommend looking there before printing anything from Wonderland! However, I know documentations can be boring. For those who don't have time, here are some key facts: You'll need glue (use plastic glue) and cord or tie. Here's what you might need: rubber, glitter, jewelry (the fake kind), color (you can use paint, sprays, acrylics, or anything else), EL wire or LED light sources, food, and drink to get some energy during the make. Every object is designed to be plugged with bolts and glued with glue. They all fit on a 25 x 21 cm printbed without any problems. If there are any issues, just contact me. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 MK2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: See documentation Infill: See documentation Notes: See the documentation (documentation.pdf) for different print settings. If you don't want to or can't, just print everything with 350 micron, 5% infill, one perimeter, and two bottom and two top layers. The print will be very fast then; everyhing may be completed in three days. I had to do this because of the entry to the Halloween contest (the last thing was printed five hours before the contest closed). However, there will be some quality issues with overhangs. Just... read the documentation and take your time. Post-Printing Plug, glue, paint, party! See documentation. How I Designed This This project triggered me to learn new programs. As I am fairly new to 3D printing, I'm also new to digital design. However, I more or less successfully managed to learn FreeCAD, Meshmixer, and 3D Builder to design the parts of this art costume.
With this file you will be able to print Wonderland with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Wonderland.
