Wombot-MarkABot-e3d and Clone Chimera and Cyclops Plate v1
thingiverse
Version 1 of the Chimera and or Cyclops e3d and Clone has been completed. I've got this out of the way so we can move forward. The only issue I see right now is that using my thick blt arm will cause a problem with the bracket. You have the option to use the thinner one made by Mr Wombot instead, but it's up to you. I've modified the original x bracket to be 8mm wider so it fits. I also want to mention that the first file includes an STL for the first attempt, but I didn't like it and decided not to include it this time around. If you're interested in seeing it, just let me know. Due to complaints and threats from the original creators, I will be adding this disclaimer to all WomBot-MarkaBot items. All of these items were designed by others, and I'm not the original author. I've taken their work, remixed it, and given credit where credit is due. I've spent hours with calipers to get them looking close, but they're not engineered like the originals and are always a work in progress. I've seen a need and filled it for myself and shared it in the spirit of open source with everyone else. The original designs are fully owned by their respective designers. All Wombot parts were designed by Aurimas Karosas at www.wombot.com.au and http://www.aurarum.com.au. Other equipment is designed and referenced in the Design/Remix under the terms of http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/.
