Common wombats (Vombatus ursinus) are one of Australia's most iconic large marsupials, renowned for their remarkable digging abilities. Their strong forelimbs feature spade-like paws perfectly adapted for excavating extensive burrow networks with ease. Specimen Number: MUVU1 (Monash University Anatomy Teaching Collection). Advanced scanning technology was utilized by Hazel Richards to capture high-resolution images of a wombat specimen using a Siemens Somatom GoUp medical CT scanner at Monash Biomedical Imaging, a state-of-the-art Technology Research Platform located within Monash University. The acquired data underwent processing in Blender software before being uploaded to Sketchfab by Dr David Hocking.
