The Middelheim Museum stands out as a unique treasure in Antwerp's art-loving community. This open-air museum and its exceptional setting provide a captivating overview of more than one hundred years of visual arts. The welcoming art park enthralls over 250,000 visitors each year with its diverse offerings. The Middelheim Museum collection comprises approximately 400 works of art gathered over a period exceeding 50 years. Works span from around 1900 to the present, showcasing an excellent representation of international modern and contemporary art. Every year sees new additions made to the collection. Approximately 215 sculptures are placed throughout the park, including pieces by renowned artists such as Auguste Rodin, Rik Wouters, Henry Moore, Juan Muñoz, Carl Andre, Panamarenko, Franz West, Erwin Wurm, and many others. Stately trees, broad paths, and inviting grassy clearings complete the scenic view. Each year, the museum invites contemporary artists to engage in a meaningful artistic dialogue with the permanent collection and the park environment, resulting in high-profile performances and impressive exhibitions by well-known artists as well as promising younger ones. These new works are frequently incorporated into the permanent collection. Roman Signer and Ai Weiwei have recently created new pieces specifically for the museum. This object is part of "Scan The World." Scan the World is a non-profit initiative introduced by MyMiniFactory, through which we are creating a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from across the globe for public access.
