Woman's head
myminifactory
This stunning portrait of a classical beauty is an enigma, its subject unknown to this day. Her face is shrouded beneath a veil adorned with two mysterious rivets that seem to hold secrets of their own. A diadem or other regal attribute likely once rested upon this spot, adding to the woman's air of mystique. Noted art historian A. Du Mege theorized that this masterpiece was crafted in 1835 based on its intricate hairstyle, a style reminiscent of female portraits from the final decades of the first century under the rule of the Flavian emperors, as observed by Daniel Cazes in his research published in 2005.
