Woman or goddess
thingiverse
Woman or goddess, Roman adaptation after a model from the years 430-420 BC, Italian Workshop's finest creation, Uncovered in Italy, Marble masterpiece, inv. A.3682 (Vatican Museums' deposit since 1969). On display at Musée d'Art et d'Histoire (Musée Cinquantenaire, Brussels, Belgium), Created with CapturingReality. This incomplete sculpture showcases a female form wearing a tunic (chiton) and a coat (himation). This style dominates Attic sculpture in the middle of the fifth century BC. It follows the line of sculptures from the Parthenon. The figure draws inspiration from a statue created around 430-420 SC, but it's adapted, possibly for a representation of Fortune, as a hole in the upper left arm suggests attachment to an object like the great cornucopia that the goddess leans on this arm.
