It comes in 69 individual parts that fit together using dowels to create the final weapon. It was created from reference images of the weapon taken from in-game at certain stages that allowed you to see both sides of the weapon and additional concept art I found as I went along. The right-hand side was particularly difficult because there's only one real occasion in the game where you see it, so I had to take the best images I could at the time to recreate it. To ensure it was as close to the in-game version as possible, I ended up manually recreating the warning and safety stickers on Inkscape, a free vector drawing portable app, which I then printed, lacquered, and applied to the finished prop. These stickers are included as a PDF to print as part of the files. Since this is a bit of a beast, I created several isometric and exploded isometric views and layout drawings to show the build and how everything fits together due to its complexity, but I've made the build as easy as possible. I also included a standard three-view orthographic drawing for anyone wanting to create their own from scratch. The model itself has several moving parts: the front charging rail can be lifted into the charging position like in-game, and the front handle can be swiveled 90 degrees to give a different grip layout. The side panel of the front chamber is also removable to show the inner parts, and the central beam focusing barrel rotates to show the inner barrel chamber. The receiver piston linkage also cycles. The project itself used three kilograms of filament (approximately one thousand meters) and took around three hundred hours of printing. The total time for sanding, priming, painting, and weathering was roughly one hundred twenty-five hours. Overall, I was very excited with this piece because it's the only one so far, but with 3D printing and the files up for free, anyone can download them and have their own.
