Wolf Mask Salish Style
thingiverse
This mask is crafted in the style of the NorthWest natives from the North American Continent, including and especially the Tlinget, Inuit, Salish, Kwakwaka'waka, Nuxalk tribes. I drew inspiration from numerous Totem poles and carvings to develop this design from my sketches. Special thanks go out to all the tribes involved, as well as any others that may have been overlooked. If your printer bed is on the small side, consider scaling down the design for a decorative ornament instead of a full mask. When I created the larger version, I encountered some issues with air circulation inside, so I drilled holes to allow air to pass through. To ensure it sits comfortably like a headlamp, I added straps to the back with a T-shaped intersection held together by a buckle. A piece of craft fabric serves as the tongue, hanging through the mouth and can be easily retracted. [UPDATE: October 15, 2018] Face mask updated! Use file number 048 for the latest version, which now includes space for straps and sealed eye pieces. If you have a 30x30x30 printer bed, it should just fit on, allowing for an average adult head with some extra room for padding. Please note that Simplify 3D should not be used as it will ruin the booleans; instead, opt for Repetier Host or Cura if possible.
