Wobbless X mounts 1.0
thingiverse
For a few months, I've been using my first wobble-free X mounts while others still struggle with ribs on their parts. This time, I created anti-wobble springs using a combination of original GitHub Prusa i2 V2 parts and MakerGear components for both bushing and LM8UU z guides. Check out the SolidWorks files on GrabCAD! As an update from January 2016, the bushed_8mm_no_bending_pro_screw.STL is part of a major retrofit I'm doing on my Prusa i2. It was previously abandoned but now it's getting upgraded with a fantastic new innovation - stay tuned! Remember to use the latest versions, as first versions may have issues with M8 nut cases. These modifications should work great with Slic3r versions for 0.35mm nozzles. I printed mine using 0.28mm layers, two perimeters, and 50% infill. Note that springs may become weaker when extrusion width is over 0.4mm, and ABS is the recommended material; PLA won't work for this application.
