Wobble Ring Stepping Motor V2!!

Wobble Ring Stepping Motor V2!!

thingiverse

This snap-together motor uses 9 components, including air pistons, after shrinking and simplifying its printable predecessor. The airtight bellowPiston part extends when inflated to push the glued-on bellowLink, which in turn pushes the wobbleRing that meshes with the drivenGear. By sequentially inflating and deflating each piston, you can move the motor 4 degrees forward or backward. Improvements have been made from previous versions, but airtight, slightly flexible 45-degree overhangs on the bellowPiston part may be challenging to print. Print the basePlate, wobbleRing, drivenGear, and three sets of bellowPistons and bellowLinks without support; assemble by gluing and snapping parts together.
