Wobble Fix for Geeetech Prusa I3 X Acrylic
thingiverse
The Geeetech Prusa range all exhibit the same wobble issue. I discovered suitable parts for the metal versions but not for the acrylic, so I designed these models to resolve the problem. The picture clearly illustrates the wobble, and if you're still unconvinced, view this video: https://youtu.be/kW_2IFdpW_I, which demonstrates the wobble in detail. I have created two versions of this design, one using less filament than the other, but the latter (in my opinion) looks nicer. The two STL files provided are not exactly the same version I printed as I made slight modifications to avoid a few screws that rub against mine. The first layer of each print contains a small rectangle over where the rod would pass through. You must remove this feature after printing, as it helps keep that section attached to the base during printing. If you're interested in seeing how I constructed these models, they are both available on Tinkercad: Normal Version on Tinkercad: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/cjTOIPF93vz Smaller Version on Tinkercad: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/7xyapZHnB0e I hope you enjoy improved print quality with these designs. In the future, I may modify this design to make it thinner as once the screws are tightened there's quite a bit of wasted height and it only just fits the printer.
