The front (or rear!) wheels and suspension system are safeguarded by this sacrificial part, designed to absorb impact and protect your vehicle from damage. Its angled design enables it to lift the car over smaller obstacles with ease. Although I have not tested it with PLA, its brittle nature might actually be beneficial since it is intended to deform or break upon impact. My experiments with PETG and ABS have yielded promising results. However, despite its protective capabilities, this part remains fragile and prone to breaking under stress. Fortunately, it has saved my car from potential damage on more than one occasion! Fortunately, Caligandalf's experimentation with TPU has proven successful, suggesting that flexible filaments like TPU or more robust materials such as Nylon or PP would be superior alternatives to traditional ABS/PLA/PTG.
