WLToys 12428 Front Shock Mount for Fall Guy Crawler Truck

Hi guys, If you're finding Thingiverse as slow as I am, consider checking out Cults 3D for your 3D parts: https://cults3d.com/en/users/WrenchToDrive/creations This is a WLToys 12428 mod to turn it into a crawler truck. The front suspension mount allows you to use the cheap Chinese aluminum shocks shown in the pictures, and they work perfectly in the back with no modifications. You'll need some longer screws to fasten the mount (I used m2.5 x 20mm screws). I printed the toolbox to make it easy to attach the brass roll cage that I made for testing. The body posts and washers work with the body mounts shown in the pictures, but you'll have to make your own rear body mount as it's a junk drawer metal bracket. The body is a cheap Injora Ford truck body, not a Chev like the real Fall Guy truck. Notice the picture with the cheap VW Beetle body? If I had known that would fit so nicely, this project might never have happened. The wheelbase is perfect if you're looking for a cheap Bug body for your WLToys. You can pretty much do what you want. The deck is just cardboard covered in electrical tape and it has held up fine so far. The main roll bar is brass tube that I had lying around, and the back bars are coat hanger. My plan is to make a better roll cage but I haven't gotten to it yet. Guys, the geometry isn't quite right but I didn't want to tilt back the mount any farther because that also moves the body mounts. Bottom line, the front suspension is still the weak link on this truck. The aluminum shocks in the pictures work GREAT on the back. Lock up the rear axle if you want to go crawling. I got the body for $20 Cdn on Amazon but you can find it all over the place for about the same price. It's not bad and pretty solid. It comes in a box so it should be unmarked by the delivery process.
