Tail lights for wltoys 104311 (Red Jeep) that light up with other truck lights, and reverse lights come on when going in reverse. https://youtu.be/ak-1jFdUXAo The stl provided is for the housing only, and you can use mirror option to print other side. The red lens was made by cutting a raft from red petg that was leftover from another print. The white lens was made from clear card packaging with white vinyl sticker, stuck to the inside of the lens. Both were glued on with 2 small drops of CA glue. The whole housing is just hot glued to the body. You will need to drill 2 holes on each side of the body for the LEDs to poke through. (Using raft for the lenses gives them a nice texture, and is thin enough that light comes through pretty decent.) I printed with the face up, so it would print nice and look good where it is seen. However, that requires supports on the back side, which did not come off too nicely. That didn't bother me too much, as that was the side getting glued to the Jeep, so it doesn't show. To make functional: 2 - red LEDs 3mm for tail lights 2 - white LEDs 3mm for reverse lights 2 - 220 ohm resistors, 1 does both red lights, 1 does both white lights 1 - capacitor (I used 470uF with voltage rating higher than battery voltage) The red LEDs are just wired in parallel with the other lights on the truck, but add a 220 ohm resistor in series before the LEDs so they won't burn out. The white (reverse light) LEDs are wired in parallel with the rear motor wires, but with reverse polarity so they only light when going in reverse (LEDs are diodes, which allow current to flow in only one direction, so they won't light when going forward). Also put a 220 ohm resistor in series before them. You should also add a capacitor in parallel with them to absorb the inductance from the electric motors. If you don't use a capacitor, the reverse LEDs will come on for a second, even when going forward. I used a 470uF capacitor, and it worked perfect. Exact size does not matter, but don't go too big, or your lights may stay lit for awhile after reversing.
