This is a housing for a 3ch receiver designed specifically for the WLtoys 10428A RC Crawler. My original electronics were unable to withstand the harsh conditions of a snow drive and failed within just 10 minutes, so I had to replace them with this new unit. This unit is a standalone receiver only, requiring a standard 3-pin servo for operation. The unit has not been thoroughly tested, so be cautious when using it. You can find more information about the bind procedure below. To bind the receiver to your transmitter: Insert the bind plug as shown in the picture and turn on both the transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx). Next, long-press the "BIND" button on the Tx until the Rx binds to the Tx. Release the BIND button after a few seconds, and you should be successfully bound. Remember to remove the bind plug once the binding process is complete. To implement fail-safe functionality: The throttle will be set to 90° (not trim value) and other channels will retain their last values when the receiver loses signal or power. I removed the reset button on my Arduino Pro Mini clone to simplify the design. Please note that the Pro Mini is "SMD" soldered, without any wires. The housing now clicks together securely, eliminating the need for glue. The range of this setup is approximately 30~40m, depending on orientation. The firmware and channel sequence remain unchanged from previous versions: - steering - throttle - gear - bind Fail-safe functionality remains the same as well. 30.4.2018: V3 housing update I have made some design changes to improve the reliability of the housing. The new design now has all holding pins touching only the PCBs, eliminating any potential damage to the MCU. Please note that the rest of the setup remains unchanged from previous versions.
