<p>This box is for a nodemcu ESP8266 and three 16mm temporary buttons. The ESP runs both the MQTT broker and client. Pressing the buttons publishes to the wled/all topic to make changes. I use this in conjunction with my status indicator project that runs WLED.&nbsp;</p><p>To use this you will need to set the WLED devices to use this device as its broker. No username or password for MQTT.</p><p>Config → Sync Interfaces → MQTT</p><p>The included .ino is the sketch I put together for this. The unit will power up with its own access point that you can use to set the Wi-Fi credentials. After that it will boot up with the saved credentials. The username and password for the access point are in the sketch.</p><p>If you run multiple instances of WLED you may want to change the topic from wled/all to the devices specific topic.</p><p>You need 4x M4 screws to hold it together. The fitment is very tight, so the screws are optional.&nbsp;</p>
