WL Toys Quadcopter Replacement Arm
thingiverse
I really did break one of the carbon fiber arms, and I managed to print a brand new replacement that I designed myself. The design was a real challenge, requiring just 2 minutes in solidworks and a patient wait of 4 minutes on the printer. Here are some pros: It dimensionally fits perfectly. It's rugged enough to withstand basic crashes. It only takes 4 minutes to make (and another 2 minutes to design if you're feeling ambitious). Here are some cons: With PLA, it's a lot heavier than the stock parts, so be prepared for extra ballast. I used zip ties on the opposite rail to counterbalance the weight. It also has more flex, which might contribute to stability issues with throttle adjustments. If you need a quick fix, this replacement will do the job - at least until Amazon arrives with a replacement parts kit.
