WK9 M6 insert nut
cults3d
I built an improved WK9 extruder for my coworker who had followed my lead in purchasing the MPSM. He brought the printer to work where we installed a glass print bed and then I went to install the WK9, only to find that he hadn't obtained the M6 nut as instructed. Initially concerned that our project was at risk, I quickly realized I still had access to my own printer. I started Fusion 360, imported an M6 nut from McMaster-Carr, and added a small extra piece for added security in case I needed to remove the insert. After exporting to Cura, I printed it solidly and it fit perfectly. Although it may not be as durable as a standard metal M6 nut, it will suffice for now!
