The 'body' of SparkFun's wireless joystick kit is created through 3D printing, and comes equipped with a 1000mAh battery (available here: https://www.sparkfun.com/products/14051). Additionally, you can access the code that runs on this device at this GitHub link (https://github.com/richardFirth/WirelessJoystick), which broadcasts joystick state every 20 milliseconds. There's also an Arduino template provided for the listening side of things.
