Wizard Wand

This wand was inspired by the Elder Wand prop from the Harry Potter movies. It's a little less refined in its design, but I can envision it being wielded by an auror or other wizards of action. Its short 210mm length would make it ideal for quick draws. The design process began in Fusion 360 and was later transferred to Meshmixer, where I added more organic elements. I completed the project with a smooth finish. You'll find the original Fusion design included if you want to customize one for yourself. I printed the wand using Hatchbox wood with five layers on all sides and twenty percent infill. After printing, I sanded it down before applying DecoArt Metallic Lustre to my sample. The color may not be traditional for a wand, but it worked beautifully as a finish.
