Wizard Staff RGB

Wizard Staff RGB

I wanted to create a glowing staff for Halloween, so I used transparent light blue material for the "crystal" with 10% infill to maximize brightness, and the hole in the center fits an Adafruit Jewel 7 tightly. For the connector and "wings," I chose white ABS at 60% infill. The holes in the staff base are designed for 1 1/4-inch PVC pipe, where a USB battery pack is stored securely. To control the RGB on the Jewel, I used an Arduino MKR1000 that was available to me, and paired it with Blynk on my phone so I can change the color at will. The code used for the MKR1000 is included in the txt file. In the Blynk project, I used 1 button set to virtual PIN 0 and a zeRGBa set to virtual PIN 1 merged together. After experimenting for several hours, I was unable to get a breathing option working because the WiFi on the MKR1000 turned off when running a loop for color changing.
